    1. Make ready 200 grams Basmati Rice
    2. Make ready 150 grams Chickpeas

    6. Take 1 tbsp Garam masala
    7. Take 2 tbsp Ghee

    Steps to make Chickpeas pulao:

    1. Wash the Basmati Rice and soak in water for 30 minutes.
    2. Soak the chickpeas overnight or 8hours and boil them for 3 whistles.
    3. In a boiling pot, add a glass of water and add in the spices. Boil the water with the spices until the water reduced half and stain the water.
    4. Heat 2 tbsp ghee in a pressure cooker, add in the chopped onions and fry until it turns brown.
    5. Then add in the ginger garlic paste, slit green chillies, garam masala, salt and give a good mix.
    6. Now add the chickpeas and the Rice. Mix well with the onions
    7. Add the stained water from the spices. If this water is not enough, further add more water. (For 200grams of rice I used 400 grams of water)
    8. Check for salt. Cover the pressure cooker and cook in high flame for 10 minutes. After 10 minutes place the pressure cooker on top of a dosa tawa and cook for low flame for 10 minutes.
    9. Open the cooker, Hot and delicious chickpeas pulao is ready. You can serve with onion raita.
